Kenya wants peace

Kenya wants peace

“The National Cohesion and Integration Commission has steadfastly reiterated that during an election period, Kenyans and especially leaders have to make statements that are restrained, guarded and careful to ensure good relations, harmony and peaceful co-existence between persons of different ethnic communities in Kenya. This remains a key agenda of the country and every Kenyan, particularly as we gear up for national elections.

The NCIC has received credible reports regarding tensions mounting between the Luo and Kisii communities following the statements made by Hon. Jakoyo Midiwo MP for Gem and Chief Whip.”…...Mzalendo Kibunja,Chairperson of NCIC

To All Leaders: Kenya wants peace

We must have heard Hon.Jakoyo’s statement on the the plot  in the making.Whilst i agree that the constitution guarantees every Kenyan the freedom of speech. This is not what we should give ourselves into.Neither should we tolerate leaders who spew venom and tension every time they open their mouths in public barazas

Kenya wants peace.….and not hatred sown by those ewe have entrusted with leadership positions.

For how long will some Kenyans take the peace we have so far enjoyed for granted by failing to think twice before they speak? Kenyans want peace

For how long will the media provide coverage to people who do not in any push for  a “Kenya wants peace” agenda?

For how long will families in mourning tolerate leaders who use the already congregated crowds whose aim in to give the deceased a decent burial, allow leaders like Midiwo to instill tension amongst communities?. In case you forgot,Kenya wants peace

Kenyans arise and demand for peace from all leaders

This is a call to all Kenyans who share the same view as mine that “Kenya wants peace” to arise and shun all forms of engagements  that do not in any way contribute to our peaceful co-existence

To all those aspiring to be leaders in one capacity or the other, you need to remember that Kenyans  do not ever want to witness the 2007/8 scene, because our desire is for a peaceful nation as per the lyrics in our national anthem

Kindly join in me in stressing this message home: KENYA WANTS PEACE!!!!!!
