Kenya has a new entrant into the presidential race, the man Prof. Kiyapi. I do not know why Prof. Kiyapi is so confident about his move.
He has taken a bold move by quitting his prestigious position as the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education. This has made Prof. Kiyapi the first public servant to quite office in preparation for the coming polls.
Prof Kiyapi: Is He Kenya’s hope?
Prof. Kiyapi has indicated that he is no non-starter in the presidential polls. This is despite the fact that he is not featuring anywhere on the opinion calls conducted so far.
But what i like about this candidate is the positive energy he exudes through:
- his party’s slogan,”Restore and Build Kenya”. Kenya is indeed in need of whole rounded restoration given the moral and spiritual decadence
- his enthusiasm. In his recent public speech he did promise Kenyans that if given the honor of becoming Kenya’s fourth president, he would serve this nation will his all
By the way,Prof. Kiyapi has indicated that he is God’s project and not man’s as Kenyan’s are used to.
Prof. Kiyapi: Development record
I cannot for a fact attest to his development record, but who knows might just be the clean slate Kenyans want.
Could he just be the leader who will stand before God as one with integrity as indicated in Psalms 15
LORD, who may dwell in your sacred tent?
” 1Who may live on your holy mountain? 2 The one whose walk is blameless, who does what is righteous,
who speaks the truth from their heart; 3 whose tongue utters no slander, who does no wrong to a neighbor,
and casts no slur on others; 4 who despises a vile person but honors those who fear the LORD; who keeps an oath even when it hurts, and does not change their mind; 5 who lends money to the poor without interest; who does not accept a bribe against the innocent. Whoever does these things will never be shaken.”
Many of us never knew of Prof. Kiyapi till when the scandal in the ministry of education was unearthed and investigations undertaken. Not sure what the findings were.
Kenya not only needs a leader with a clean development records, but a leader who will also promote policies that will see an end to the rampant impunity in every institution.
Could Prof. Kiyapi be the right candidate?
I have no answer, its only Kenyans who will decide this through the power of the ballot
To Prof. Kiyapi
All i can wish you is Gods speed and favor in your campaigns
Whether Prof. Kiyapi makes it or not,at least he has taught us the need to exercise faith that is as small as a mustard seed
